The Four Pillars of Windsor Running:

The Four Pillars of Windsor Running:
Strength, Endurance, Commitment, Attitude
Strength:
Strength training tends to get overlooked in running success. People ask: Why improve overall muscular strength when it seems like our legs do the propulsion? We want our clients be the best they can be and strength training is an essential component when looking to achieve those goals because it improves running efficiency and reduces the chance of injury. When you can train harder and more consistently, you will achieve your goals at a faster rate.
Endurance:
We believe that endurance training comes in two forms: physical and mental. The physical part can be trained through a variety of workouts in order to meet your individual needs. Whether you are looking to complete your first mile without stopping or gearing up for a 12 mile tempo effort, we'll write workouts to make you better. The mental piece of running is equally as important and sometimes more so. If you join the Windsor Running team, we will include workouts that are specifically designed make your both your physical and mental endurance stronger.
Commitment:
If you asked us what the "Silver Bullet" of distance running training was, commitment would be our answer. Anyone can run and anyone can achieve their personal running goals. But the ability to commit to changing your behavior and fitting running into your life is what is going to be the difference. Behavioral change is incredibly hard and that's why joining the Windsor Running team is a key first step in achieving your running goals. We'll then help motivate you each step of the way.
Attitude:
Believing in oneself is imperative to success and having a positive attitude is second only to commitment. In our early coaching days, we took anyone who could walk onto the team in order to build our programs. The longer we did this and the more we talked about positive attitude with our athletes, the more we realized that believing you can achieve a goal is more powerful than most physiological gifts. At Windsor Running, we ask that you come in with a positive attitude and we'll help you maintain it in order to achieve your goals.
